Remember when we learned to eat real food together (See: Nov 17) Seems so long ago. But wait Mommy said you were too small and had to go bye-bye. How could you be here? Have you come back for me?

Daddy: Actually Victoria, we brought that out for our little visitor, Rebecca.

What? Whatchyou talking bout Daddy? this is my chair. who says you can give it away? Hmph....

Of course on the other hand it is kinda small and I got really cool new toys to play with. And sharing is a pretty neat, Besides I can always play on the ottoman...

Grean Beans and Galletas

Ahhh Grean beans what can be said of this garden deliticable?

They are fun and I like to eat them! Sure, but there is so much more. I mean have you ever eaten grown-up food? It's a trip. The flavors, the textures, the crunchies. Oh I like it so much more than plan old baby food (bananas are yummy thoug). I know I'm just a baby, but I loves to chew on the adult stuff. I have six teeth, how many more do I need? I think I have more than Grandpa M. Gimmie my veggies and meats. Oh I love the meats even more than I love green beans.

And those Girl-Scout things that Daddy keeps eating what does he call them -- Coookies? I wonder what they taste like. Think they are any good? Lucas, el monstruo comegalletas, who I watch on Plaza Sesamo sure thinks so. I don't get to eat any of those though. Sigh. Maybe someday.

What a Day!

Oh boy what a day, What a day! I'll tell ya all about it but first a TMOOVM world Premiere. Its me, with a proper crawl. That's right no more squirming for me I got up on my knees today and just started to crawl!

Anyways, Mommy and I had a long day. We went out to breakfast. And then Rebecca came over, though she just wanted to sleep, not play. But then Grandma S came over and OHHHH boy did she wanna play. All four of us took a nice walk and I got to sit in the big girl stroller. Grandma and I played so much I nearly missed saying bye to Mommy. Then Daddy came home and I wanted to sleep. Poor Daddy he had no one to play with. Oh well as that song from the before my time goes:
Talk to you later, just save it for some other time.

The Odd Couple

So this afternoon I was, taking a nap after a fine meal from Daddy. And what do I hear? A crying baby! So I'm like " What? I'm the baby around here, how can some other baby be crying. I woke up to see Rebecca, my new friend, lying on my changing table. Well that's all fine and well but I had a wet diaper!! I mean how can I wait for a diaper change? Do you ladies out there have to wait in line to go to the potty? Anyways it turns the kid doesn't like the dark. She won't sleep unless the light is on. How Silly, I love the dark. I refuse to sleep if a light is ON. Furthermore what's with these chubby cheeks she has. Sure they're cute, but they are not my baby blues! And she seems so quiet and lady-like. Not me I gotta speak my mind and play the tugs-o-war with the Daddy. I wonder, " Can these two opposites live together, without driving each other completely crazy?"

My Favorite Food--Duck

Life is pretty good here at the old homestead. I get to do so many of my favorite things everyday like eat, play, nap (well, maybe that shouldn't be on this list), but taking a bath sure is! Grandma S is here visiting so she decided to give me a bath today. As you can see when you compare now to earlier bath pictures, I'm all grown up now since I can sit up by myself and I don't have to be in the hammock anymore.

I already mentioned it, but I really like to eat now. Mommy says the grown up people food I liked the best so far is duck. Today I decided to try rubber duck for a change. It really doesn't taste as good as the real thing, but who cares when it makes the three new teeth I'm trying to cut feel better! Guess rubber duck is a good addition to my food repetoire.

A New Friend

Look at this! I have a new friend. Her name is Rebecca, and we are gonna be spending loads and loads of time together, as Mommy watches her from time to time. Now she is just a youngin compared to yours truly, so I think I have much to teach her. You know, the important stuff like flashing that cute smile when you've done something naughty. Or getting Grandma to do the wee--booms for you. Whats a wee-boom? I'll have to save that for a future post. All in all I can't wait to hang out with my new friend, it promises to be another grand adventure.

Standing

Let me tell you readers. I can't wait to walk. I mean I know you have to crawl before you can walk, but I can already crawl. I wanna walk! Just today, I took a nasty fall and I have a small cut on my lip from trying to stand by myself on the coffee table. Mommy was worried, but I only cried for a minute or so and then I was back on the floor trying it some more.

Luckily Daddy and Mommy have been real helpful in holding me up as I do practice standing and walking. Just now Daddy has his arms around me as I use the jungle gym to keep me steady. Hey! Wait a minute... If Daddy is talking the picture, then who is holding me up? Daddy are you holding me??? YEAH, I'm standing with a little help of my jungle gym. You watch I'll be walking soon.

Daddy: this picture was not doctored in any way. Mommy: Happy 8 month for Victoria!

No Mas

Whew what a relief. I'm finally back at home and no more of those holidays. They were tiring me out. Wait... What's that? Oh no it can't be... one present was forgetten!! Well I s'ppose I could open this one... And what a present it was! A pot & pan set that makes all sorts of noises, loud, really loud. Daddy just loves it, he accidentally turned the volume down, but I showed him how to turn it up again. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa M.

A big shout out to Uncle Mike -- Happy Birthday!

Surprise, Daddy!

Well, I'm on my way back to Austin now. I have a surprise for my Daddy. I cut a new tooth the very first day I was at Grandma's. The way I'm slobbering right now I probably have another one waiting in the wings to make its appearance, too. This cutting teeth is really hard work, and as you can see I'm taking a well-earned rest. Of course Mommy and Grandma decided they had to show off the tooth to the world, so they took my picture and I didn't even get to smile.

I had a great time at Grandma's. We played and played and played. I learned to pet Mortimer better and ate lots of great grown up food. I think I'll wait till I'm older to go back, though. That car ride is a killer. Can't Scottie just beam me there?

Another Busy Day at Grandma's

What a busy day--I spent most of it eating! I had such a surprise this morning because when I got up Grandpa S was here--along with Mortimer. Maud and Artemis arrived last night. Auntie Bre Bre and Uncle Matthew dropped them off so Grandma could dog sit while they went to visit friends. Grandma fixed papas huevos (potatoes and eggs, for those of you who don't speak Spanish) and I ate lots of scrambled eggs today and a third of a jar of applesauce.

Later today Auntie Bre Bre and Uncle Matthew came back and there were so many of my favorite people and animals. What a surprise. Oh, I ate a fourth of a jar of carrots and drank a bottle.

This afternoon Courtney and Kylie came to visit. We had so much fun. They played with me and my toys and gave Mortimer lots of attention, too. Mommy and Courtney and I took a walk. We got to see some little puppies that live around the corner. It was so warm I didn't even need a jacket. We all went out to dinner at The Jalepeno Tree. I had peas as an appetizer and then the REAL food came to the table. I ate half of a tortilla and a whole strip of Mommy's chicken. I drank another bottle, too. Come to think of it, I've eaten pretty good today.

We Meet Again!

Today was really great! My friend Keira and I finally got to play. We went to visit Keira and her Mummy at her house. We got to play with her toys. She even has her own set of keys, and do they ever make good teething chews. Grandma said she might have to find some for me.

Keira and I both like to bite things. She has two teeth and I have more. She is starting to walk. I think that really looks cool. I want to do it, too.

I'm away from home!

Howdy, everyone! I'm visiting Grandma S this week. So far we're having a pretty good time--well except maybe for the ride to her house. I played in the car, then I slept, then I played--and we were only halfway there. We stopped in Hillsboro and changed my diaper and I got to try some lemon pound cake. It was really good. . .but I digress.

Today we had to get up really early and go with Mom to see the eye doctor. He told me I had pretty, big blue ones. Then we ate, napped and visited Grandma S's office. Boy she's got a neat place and the wallpaper background is my favorite color--red.

There's one problem, though. My high chair isn't here, so it's hard to eat my food. Grandma has this chair that fits on a chair, though, but they had to tie me in. I'm here trying to escape, but maybe I don't want to escape too much cuz they fed me sweet potatoes. Yummy, yummy, yummy.

The Best Game Ever!

We are the National Champs! Some people were worried, but not me. My Longhorns never lose, not while I've known them anyhow. My only complaint was that the Mommy made me wear pjs instead of my Longhorn outfit. Well it's orange anyhow.

Now on to the National Figure Skating Championships. It's not as good as football, but you have to work with what you've got. Then there's this thing coming up called the Olympics. I don't know what that is, but I think I'm gonna find out.
