Grandma Camp Christmas Edition

On the first day of Grandma Camp at Grandma's house I got to help decorate Grandma's tree.  First Grandma put on the lights.  Then we put on the blue sparkly ribbons.  Next I made Grandma put on the angel.  Next I got to help by putting on all of the ornaments.  My favorite ornament is the Raggedy Ann one.  She is holding a lollipop.  I really like the pink stocking with Aunt Breana's picture, too.

We got our nails done the next morning.  I love to go to Karen and get my nails painted.  This time I got bright pink nails.

I got to watch The Little Mermaid that evening and eat organic popcorn with my butter on it.  I love popcorn.

The next day we went to the American Girl store.  It was a long car ride.  I liked all of the ballerina outfits for dolls and girls.  I also liked the teapots and dishes.  I wanted doll curlers but they were all sold out.  It made me sad.  Grandma says maybe we can order some online.  We stopped at Central Market and bought some special chocolate to put on cookies.

That evening Grandma and I played Santa's helpers.  I
stuffed and put clothes on bears for my sisters for Christmas and Grandma made one for me.  I picked the strawberry bear for Kathryn, the denim bear for Elizabeth and I will get the exercise bear.  It was fun to make presents.

Each night before I go to bed we have been reading chapters from two books.  One is Junie B., First Grader Toothless Wonder.  I have my two front teeth out and in the book Junie B loses her front tooth.

Today we made sugar cookies. I helped melt my butter,
measured the rice milk, measured the vanilla and put it in the bowl with the mix.  I got to turn on the mixer.  Then we rolled the dough into balls and dipped them in sugar.  On part of the cookies we put our special chocolate logs.  Then we baked them.  They cooled and I ate one without chocolate.  I want to frost them when we get home.

Tonight we are going out to eat and I will have french fries, ketchup and salad and steak bites.  Yummy.  Then we will drive to see the Christmas lights.  I love Grandma Camp!

Grandma Camp Day 5

Friday was a long day because we had to drive back home.  We didn't want to drive when it was hot, so there was lots of time to play.  I found some extra pieces of fabric and look what I got do to with them!  Kit and Ruthie and I all got belts and headbands.  Grandma had to sew some strips together for me, though, because one wouldn't tie around my waist or my head.  We're sitting watching the movie Beauty and the Beast in this picture.  I love the Disney movies at Grandma's!

Later we loaded up the car and drove toward home.  We talked about our next Grandma Camp--maybe during Christmas.

Grandma Camp Days 3 & 4

Wednesday was day 3 of Grandma Camp, and it was really hot out here so I decided we should have a Pajama Morning!  All of my dolls stayed in their pajamas all morning, too.  About noon Grandma and I decided we needed to wash the car.  It was pretty hot out there, so I got Grandma to squirt me with the hose.  I also borrowed Ashlee's hat--thanks, Ashlee.  After we were done, Grandma gave me $1.00.

After we came in and got cleaned up we had lunch--brats and hot dogs.  I got the brats and everyone else got those red Nebraska hot dogs they like so much.  I love brats.
Next I decided it was dress day, so all my doll friends got to wear dresses.  Can you figure out which one Grandma didn't make?  I put on a dress, too.  I decided to bake some cookies for my dolls with the new baking set I got at the American Girl store.

I learned what a sifter is--you use it with the flour, but not the sugar.  Grandma got me a little bowl and spoon and I pretended to put all the stuff in and mix it together.  Then I rolled it out with the rolling pin--I really love that part.  Next I used the star and circle cookie cutters to make shape cookies.  It was fun.

Today is day 4 of Grandma Camp, and I slept in until 8:15.  I went to bed early, too, so I guess Grandma is just wearing me out.  A couple of weeks ago Grandma and I went shopping at the fabric store, and I picked out fabric for a new pillow case.  Look at me!  I am making the embroidery machine write out Victoria in pink on the black fabric and it was so much fun to do.  Grandma then made it into a real pillowcase I can take home.  I also helped thread the serger with Grandma's special jet-air looper threader.  I did it twice, because we also made a pillow case for a girl who just got a new baby brother so she won't feel left out when he gets his burp rag.

I left the best picture for last!  I was watching one of my favorite movies and wiggling my loose tooth, and you can see what happened.  I hope the Tooth Fairy knows how to get here.

Grandma Camp Days 1 & 2

Monday was my first day of Grandma Camp. We went to see Miss Karen to get our nails done.  I went first and Grandma went second.  We got a dark pink and I love it!

Then we went shopping.  Mort needed food so we went to the pet store.  I saw lots of pets.  I saw parrots and parakeets.  I saw hamsters and ferrets.  The ferrets were sleeping.

Next we went to the Health Food Market.  I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste.  We bought new ones there.

I got to see the movie Sleeping Beauty.  I liked the end of the movie when they kissed.

Grandma had a surprise for me.  Do you recognize it, Mom?  I am playing with your friend Mandy.  She likes to play with Kit and Ruthie and Molly and Keirsten.  I like to change the doll's clothes.  It is really fun.

Tuesday we went to the American Girls Store.  As you can see from the picture on the left, I am wearing my new flower dress.  I have green flower shorts to match.  Grandma says I can wear this to first grade.  I picked out the pattern and she sewed it from her fabric stash.

The American Girl Store is a big store with two levels.  I rode the escalator to the second floor where we saw the American Girl Doll BeautyShop.  I bought the holiday baking set for Kit and Ruthie.  I like to play with it.  We also bought surprises for my sister's dolls, too.

On the way home, we got to eat at Five Guys.
