Blondes and Brunettes

Who said blondes have more fun? Lemme tell ya I hung out with a pair of Brunettes on Saturday night and they were a riot! Mind you they were a bit younger than me, so I had to show them the ropes. You know how to sit up (Elena, the baby I'm touching in the picture, already knew this one), crawl and all the other crazy baby stuff. It was Parteeee, with a capital P. We were all over the house drinking up a storm. Man I've never seen that much formula fly. Mind you Rebecca was hitting the hard stuff-- out of the freezer, if you know what I mean. It was all fun and all, but then I met this older mature man by name of David, who was all of 6! Well I don't wanna imply I followed him around on my hands and knees, but I kinda followed him around on my hands and knees. He had wonderful moves, I might want to also take karate when I'm older. It was all good clean fun mind you, I'm not even a year old .....yet!

I can hold my own

Cups are fun. I'm learning to hold my own. This picture is from last Saturday's Salt Lick trip. Please visit my friend Keira's website for a picture of me and my friend. I bet Grandma S. has pictures from earlier in the day. Hint Hint Grandma.

More From the Backyard

Here are some more pictures from my great outdoor adventures. We have at least three families in the backyard: the anole, the Red Admiral butterfly (thanks for the correction Grandpa S.), and the mockingbirds. I'm a little concerned for the baby mockingbird in the picture. She's learning to fly just like I'm learning to walk.

Boo Boo

As you may have noticed, I have not posted recently. I assure you there is a good reason for this (besides the fact that Grandma has not sent us the pictures). You see,I have an boo boo on my lips. It all started whenI tried this walking thing. I'm sure you have heard of this walking thing; Its the latest craze in all the babies my age. You should Keira walking like a madwoman. Well, I decided to take the plunge. And that's what I did, face first. Which of course led to a nasty cut on my lip. Naturally I could not be photographed as such. It's not my vanity, I just did not want to alarm you, my adoring public. Anyway the lip is much better and Daddy snuck a photo with the lip hidden by the bottle. I'm still not sure bout this walking thing -- it's scary.

Quack Quack

Mommy and Daddy got me this super book for Easter. I carry it all around the house. They don't mind if I chew this one. That's good because I've gotten in trouble for biting a piece out of the living room blinds, eating one of Mommy's books, and trying to get Daddy's computer cord. I can't help thatI'm finally getting two more bottom teeth; I need the practice.

Just kidding, I really did have a good Easter as Mommy and Daddy and I spent the whole day together. We had loads of fun, but I think I will save that tomorrow. I'm tired and need to sleep. Us babies do a lot of that you see.

EAAAAAAT!

Daddy says I have an insatiable appetite. I don't know what that means, but I know I like to chew. Eat, eat eat all day. I eat the carrots, bananas, steak and snow peas. Eat, eat, eat. I eat the index, cards, the pillows, the living room blinds. Eat, eat, eat. I eat mommy' shoulders and daddy's toes. Eat, eat, eat. What is there left to eat? Hmmm this bathtub looks appetizing... Eat, Eat,EAAAAAAAAT!

Also, look how small my bath has gotten. I think I'll be to big for it very soon. Maybe it's because of all the eating.

The good life

Well Hello from Texas! I realize that some of you may be living in cold parts unknown, but down here everything is great. The weather is so nice. I like to lounge out on my back porch catching some rays. Well not to many rays, Mommy says too much sun is no good for a girl like me. Still I gets what I can. What can I say, the weather is fine and I love this outdoors thing, I just hope it won't get too hot. How hot can it get? Really? Nooooo, That hot? Gonna be a long summer kids...stay tuned.

A Special Vistor

Mommy's friend Allyssa came to visit me all the way from Fort Worth. We had some fresh fruit, hashbrowns, and omelets. Yummy Yummy. I loved Allyssa's shoes because they were all sparkly. Look how happy I am in this picture. It's because I've just tasted my first bug. Mommy didn't let me swallow it though.

First Steps

Well I'm not really walking, but I'm standing quite well on my own. This is the first time I stood in shoes. I'm not sure about shoes, but I love to chew on shoelaces. Don't worry, soon I will be chasing after the green aloes that live in our yard. This is the male. I watched the female yesterday for twenty minutes. This going outside thing is sure neat.

Going Outside

There are just so many interesting things outside. On Sunday, Daddy and I were working in the yard and saw a lizard. Yesterday, Mommy and I were watering the flowers and spotted a squirrel, a tree frog, and several birds. Today Mommy, Daddy, and I went for a walk at dusk. Mommy said "look a snake". Daddy replied, "no, it's just a piece of rope." Then Daddy looked at it and saw that it really was a snake. Daddy said that he thought it was dead, but then it started moving. That snake was longer then me. I didn't get to carefully study it, but I think it was a southwestern rat snake. Click here for a picture and more information about this facinating creature. http://www.mcmartinville.com/chris/reptiles/trips/texas/sp_rat.htm I think Mommy liked it more than Daddy though.

Meet the Cousins

You know those little big kids I talked about in my last post? Well, here we all are. Meet Ashlee and Brittney, my cousins. They came to stay with Grandma and Grandpa S on their spring break. We had a lot of fun. It's really neat to watch and then play with someone who isn't all grown up once in awhile.
