Christmas Eve

Whew, this Christmas stuff sure is fun, but it leaves a girl tired, too! It all started on the 24th when Daddy started cooking and cooking and cooking. I didn't know it, but Grandma S was doing the same thing at her house. When I was down for my early (not the long winter's one) nap, everyone came to our house and we ate and ate and ate. Those crab cakes and pigs in blanket and the crab legs and all the other stuff were really, really good.

Next we changed clothes and went off to church. As you can see, I'm adorable in the pretty dress Grandpa M got me. The bow was particularly inviting and I just had to taste it to see if it was as good as it looked. In church we sang these thing called Christmas carols. It was really crowded and I decided I needed a break and figured Mom and Dad could as well, so they had to do a major diaper change that had all the other parents in the nursery really smiling, or was it laughing, at them. Anyway, we made it back to the sanctuary for the candle lighting. Wow, was that really something. Can you imagine a church full of people with candles singing Silent Night? It was awesome.

After church we went back to our house and opened our Christmas crackers--no, not the kind you eat. These are paper pieces you pull apart and they have noisemakers and tissue paper crowns inside. That was sure fun! I even wore my crown and pulled off other people's to play with. Next we opened one gift each. I sort of got lucky because my rocking chair couldn't be wrapped, so I got two. Get a load of the chair, folks. Grandma S said she had to get it for both Daddy and me--Hook Em Horns! Anyway, I really like to climb in and out of it. I even like to sit in it in front of the TV when it isn't on so I can see myself and smile a lot in the screen. I'm on TV then! After playing for a while, we all decided we'd best go to sleep so the jolly old elf could visit. I got my jammies on and went down for the long winter's nap. More later on the big day itself.

Just another Bath photo

What's better than playing with bubbles? A whole entire bubblebath! Yup that's right I took my first Bbath tonight. It wasn't planned or anything, I just accidently knocked Mommy's shampoo in the tub. It was the little one Daddy got at the Mandaly Bay. I'm sure he'd be happy to go back and get her some more. Afterall, now that I have had the Bbath I can't go back to regular bath. I can't and I won't!

In other news Christmas pics will be coming shortly... right Grandma?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is one of those times when families do fun stuff. I thought I'd show you what kinds of fun stuff some of my family likes to do today. It's pretty warm here in this picture as you can see by how the cousins are dressed. Brittney recently celebrated her birthday and Ashlee loaned her the pads and helmet so she can learn to use her new inline skates. Grandma S says this is a great day since we can play outside!

My Thanksgiving is a little cooler and a little wetter, but more about that later. Suffice it to say I'm having fun with my cousin and he's learning what a small, but determined, young girl likes to do when she feels like playing.

Everybody have a great day and celebrate it with the ones you love, either in person or on the phone!

A New Friend?

Today Mommy and I went over to Grant's house. Mommy and Grant's Daddy Brad went to college together. Grant's house had lots of cool toys including a slide, a teetor-totter, and lots of puzzles. The very best was this car. Grant didn't like it so much when I borrowed his car. However, I gave him a superduper Victoria kiss. Do you think that made it all right? Next time we visit Grandma I hope we can play again or maybe he'll come to play at my house.

Texas Traveler

I've been doing a lot of traveling lately, and it sure is fun. Last week I went to visit Grandma S and the cousins and Keira and her Mommy. It's a long car trip, but car rides recently got a lot better since I finally get to see where we're going instead of where we've been. Facing forward has other advantages, too. I get to see Mommy and Daddy and that makes me put on a big smile!

Another kind of traveling I like to do is have someone take me for a ride in my stroller. As you can see, I can climb in all by myself and I've just about figured out how to buckle myself in. Do you think the big people around me have figured out yet what I want when I get in the stroller? Unfortunately, not all of the time. Someone even tried to hide it in the laundry room, but you can see I found it.

Another kind of traveling I really love to do is walk and run and run and walk. I will even tolerate wearing shoes if I can do this out of doors. I love to go outside and Mommy and Daddy take me out a lot. Grandma S has this great big driveway that is fun to run around on. I had to wear a coat with a hood, though, as it got a little cold.

The only traveling I've done I wasn't too excited about was when we visited San Antonio and we road on something called a river boat. On it, traveling was not so thrilling. Maybe when I'm older.

Do you suppose there are other ways to travel? Maybe some day I'll get to find out.

Halloween Adventures

Wow! Can you believe it? There's this holiday where you get to dress up like somebody or something else. Like lots and lots of kids get dressed up. The cousins and I wore something Grandma S called costumes. I got to be a ladybug, as you can see. Mama tried to put on my shoes, but I said, "Mommy, those shoes belong with the jazz dancer costume."

Ashlee was a clown and Brittney was Cinderella. After we got all dressed and had our makeup on, Mom loaded me in the stroller and everyone donned their coats and then the true fun began!

You see, on Grandma's street there are lots and lots of houses. Some of them had their porch lights on and we would go to the door and ring the doorbell or knock. Ashlee and Brittney took turns saying some words--I think they said Trick or Treat or something like that. Anyway, the most amazing thing happened because people would just give us stuff. Most of the stuff was candy, so I didn't get that. Some houses had raisins and I love those. One house even had Play Doh so we each got a jar of it. Pretty neat, huh! And the best part is that they tell me it happens every year!

I have to tell you, though, it was cold! It was in the mid 40s here and I'm used to a bit warmer weather. My hood has been on my head a lot here.

Costume??!?

Hey, What's this? I was told I was to be a ladybug for Halloween. Does this look like a ladybug to you? I think Not! I did not sign up to be an extra in Lord of the Dance. Call my people, I can't let this outrage stand! Huh? Oh Grandma has the ladybug costume in Sherman. Well Mommy, time to hit the road. We need to get to Sherman before Halloween...

One year burning down the road....

Hard to believe, but it's been one year since I started this little old blog. And BOY, what a year it has been! Daddy wanted to do a retospective, but I said "BAH" to that. Instead of looking back, we should be looking ahead. I have a whole lotta misadventures just waiting to happen. For instance, what will happen on my first day of school?

Or what about the day I graduate college? ( GrandmaS you have a spot waiting for me, right?)

Ahh college, I tried being a brunette in those days....

But then it's the real world; work, responsibilities and before you know it -- my wedding day (Daddy start saving now!)

And after that, the sky's the limit! Congresswoman Muller, Governor Muller and maybe someday-- PRESIDENT MULLER!

Hey it could happen......

But till then stay tuned. Everyday is a misadventure when you hang with VictoriaJ!

The Toddler Monster Mash

OK, on Monday I told you about some of the stuff we did over the weekend. Well, Peyton, I saved the best part for last! There was this great big area that was really, really bouncy with all kinds of soft, fun blocks (and I mean BIG blocks) in it for just kids our size.

What you gotta do is this--first take off your shoes. I LOVE being barefoot, so this is my kinda place. Next you climb down the step into the pit. It feels really squishy on your toes and you sort of dip down with every step you take, so expect to take a fall or two at first while you're getting used to it. The good thing, though, is that you can fall and not get hurt!

You can see by the picture that I took a little spill and didn't hurt myself one bit. Some cute young guy even ran into me once and we both flopped down, and guess who got up first--yours truly!

The blocks are really cool. You can carry them around and climb on them and use them to help you stand up. You can stack them, too.

I think the thing I like the best was just running around on this soft stuff, though. You could really go and go and go and it felt so good on my toes. I can hardly wait to go back and visit this place again. And you know what--we will cuz Mommy and Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa and Brittney and Ashlee all upgraded their tickets to season passes for the rest of this year and all of next. Is that a sweet deal or what? So really, dear cousins, you gotta come visit us in Texas! We'll visit more neat stuff all over the state.

Scottie's Right--There Be Whales

Boy oh boy oh boy, did we ever have a weekend! Friday Grandpa S came and got me and Mommy and Ashlee and we went to San Antonio where we met Grandma S and Brittney and then Saturday Daddy and Aunt Bre and Uncle Matthew joined us and we all got into our cars and went to this place called Sea World. Evan, Matthew and Peyton--you got to drag your parents down here cuz you will never believe it! It was so much fun. As a matter of fact, I can't even write about everything in one day so this will get broken up into two posts.

After we walked and walked and walked we got to a place called the front gate. We got to go right in because we already had our tickets and what do we see but this place where they keep these horses called Clydesdales. Now I've seen horses before, but these are the biggest horses I ever saw, but I guess that is to be expected since this is Texas. They had an area where kids could really go in and stand by one and touch it. Grandpa had them take our picture and he has it at his house and I am really, really petting that big horse.

The we walked some more and came to this really, really big play area where they had this big ship. You can see it behind Mommy and Daddy. I think Daddy got camera shy. Anyway, Mommy and I decided to climb the ropes Wow--it was was scarey and fun. The holes were a little big for me, but Mommy helped me out.

Next I got to play in the sand. Now this wasn't an ordinary sand pile--it was HUGE. And you know what was the best part? They had these great trucks that you got to throw sand right out of--I think they called them dump trucks. Wow! I wonder if Santa knows how much fun those are. Anyway, this sand pile was as big as most of my back yard.

After that we went to see a show called Believe! with someone named Shamu and his friends. I had NO idea that Shamu was a whale. Do you know how big these guys are? We got to sit about six rows up and guess what--there was a glassed in wall that held the water in the tank and you could even see when they were under the water. I was totally transfixed. . .that means I just stared and stared and stared and could not believe what my eyes were seeing. There were some really lucky people who got to swim and dive and play with the whales. What a great job! Grandma said that she could see the wheels turning in my head and I was thinking maybe I could play with whales when I grow up. Anyway, that's all for today. I'll tell you more about it tomorrow, but really, my New Jersey cousins, you gotta come see this!

Goldilocks 2.0

A not so long time ago, in a land called Texas there lived a little girl name VictoriaJ. Now VictoriaJ wanted nothing more in the whole wide world than to have what other girls take for granted. And what is that? HAIR! And then one day as she awoke from her nap...

Dude..... Check it out. I've got hair ! I've got hair!
Beautiful golden locks of hair. Oh Joy Oh Joy. Now I can wear ribbons and bows. I can comb my hair and brush it!. I can have pigtails. No wait I can have a ponytail. Ponies are much better than pigs anyday. Yes, I can do whatever I want now that I have hair!

And what is the 1st thing VictoriaJ did after getting so much hair???

Yup -- She put a hat on...

The moral of the story ? I dunno. Well uhmmm The hat kinda looks like the type Christopher Columbus wore. So uhhhh Happy Columbus Day!

Goofy?!

Daddy say this picture makes me look goofy? Goofy I think not. I'm a sophisticated young lady. I ain't goofy. I mean do you think I look goofy? You didn't answer me right away. That means you think I look goofy! I won't stand for this. I know when I have been insulted!
Goofy I think not...

Any resemblence of VictoriaJ to LucyVP is purely coincidental.

See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen!!!

Wow, check it out Daddy got this neat dry erase board that he writes things on, but who cares! What really matters is when you turn it over it makes a great dance floor. I tell ya I like to boggie, I like disco all night long... Yeah. That's right them other dancers ain't got nothing on me. Just check out my moves below. I ..AM... The Dancing Queen. C'mon everybody sing it with me:

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen (months)

Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life

See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

Note from Daddy - ABBA still rocks

Mystery Box

Uh oh. Daddy is cooking fried chicken again. Don't get me wrong, while I like fried chicken I don't like the ruckus Daddy makes while cooking. I better hide in the corner here. Hmm whats this box???I haven't seen it before. I think I heard Grandma S talk about it. Maybe she can fill me in.

Climbing is fun

Where is it?? Daddy, what did you do with it??Hmmm is it in here?? Pretty clever old man, but I have figured you out! Now, how do I get in there??

Got to be careful these boxes can be tricky to navigate....

You know Pop you could help me out here. I mean c'mon I'm just a little kid and you are just sitting there with the camera just snapping away...

HAHA. At last I have found you. My precious water bottle. Uh Oh, there's Mommy. She doesn't look happy; maybe because I'm not not supposed to play back here? I think Daddy and I are in trouble.

Outside Time and Reading Time

Well the cousins came over on Saturday. The weather was great so we played outside. Ashlee found a caterpillar in my tree. After we played with it for a while it started to get hot, so we went inside for some reading time. Everyone enjoyed her favorite story.
Later, Grandma, Mommy, and I went to Aunt Breana and Uncle Matthew's house. I discovered they have a handwashing area just my size. Maude and Artimus didn't like me playing with it though. They wanted to drink out of it. Now who drinks out of bowl? Anyhow, it was another fun weekend for me.
