My First Thanksgiving (in Kindergarten)

Wow! On Tuesday we had a program and feast in kindergarten. I really wanted to be an eagle, but my teacher told me I had to be a Pilgrim lady instead. So here I am in my Pilgrim clothes enjoying our feast.

Kindergarten Here I Come!

I am getting really, really excited. August is going to be such a fun month! Next week my Grandma T comes to visit and I can't wait. I get to play with my friends at school three days a week, and then the big, big thing happens--I get to go to KINDERGARTEN! Wow!

To get me ready, I've been doing a little shopping with Grandma. That and she's making me stuff, which is custom fit clothes. Pretty nice. Here I am modeling the front and back (Daddy and Mommy are you listening, this buttons in the BACK!) Grandma thought you might need a picture for a reference. I tried it out today when we went shopping for Mort's birthday, and I really LOVE the pockets. I think Grandma's going to have to include some more of those. Anyway, I picked out this fabric and you know what? The best thing about fabric stores is that you get to touch the fabric and they don't even care.

Grandma and I went shopping for more fabric today and I picked out some great denim for pants and two cute prints for a top and then we'll use some to decorate the pants. Grandma hasn't had this much fun since Aunt Breana was little!

Adventures at Grandpa's

Now that I'm a little older, I get to be more independent. That means I can escape my sisters and go off to Grandpa's all by myself for more than one night. I had the best weekend. I made clay shapes, played Sesame Street games and sang songs with the computer, played with my special friend Kit, made my special cinnamon raisin gluten free bread, threw the ball for Mort and helped get things for Grandpa while his knee is healing. I couldn't figure out what happened to the staples, though, and I kept asking him about them. Grandpa thinks I miss them.

Note my new duds. As a matter of fact, Kit and I are dressed alike. No, we didn't pay the extra $$$ on the AG website for clothes. . .we have our own special seamstress who likes to make things for us. I can't wait to see what we get next, so stay tuned.

Birthdays Are Fun!

Good-bye 4, hello 5. That's how I started my day. Actually I got more than one day to celebrate because my birthday and the party were different days and I got to open presents on other days, too.

Anyway, the party was at a place where there were slides and jump houses and mountains and animals to sit on and stuff to wander through like a forest only made of soft stuff so you couldn't get hurt. There was plenty of running around space, too.

We got to eat pizza and birthday cake. My candles actually said Happy Birthday! I must get my wish because I blew all of them out. The pizza was really good! It is one of my favorite foods.

The best part of the day were my friends and family! We played together and ate together and ran together and jumped together and climbed together and sang together and just had a wonderful time! Turning 5 is awesome.

camping

Daddy and I went on a camping adventure. Iknow it was only to our own livingroom, but it sure was fun. We ate hotdogs, made smores and sang songs around the flashligt. Daddy even let me sleep in my tent all night!
